Pocock Family Blog – Posting Instructions

As descendants of Luke and Hazel Pocock, we have a wonderful opportunity to share our experiences, thoughts and feelings to continue the legacy of the Pocock Family. A blog has been created at www.pocock.us that allows us to easily contribute blog posts (i.e., the content you want to share) to our family blog.

There are two ways to post:

  • Simply send an email to the blog email address for direct posting, or
  • Become an Author/Editor on the blog site to post, edit and publish

DIRECT BLOG POSTING

To post directly by email, send an email request to Randy Crocker (randall@crocker.cc) for the unique blog email address.  Then, simply send an email with your content/message to the unique blog email address.

Use these tips to prepare the email:

HEADING – Email Subject will become the blog’s Title heading

CONTENT – Everything included in the body/content of the email will be carried over into  the content of the blog post, including links and photos

REVIEW – Before sending the email, check for correct spelling and grammar

AUDIENCE – Keep in mind that these are very public postings that may be found and read by anyone

UNDO/EDIT – After the email is published in the blog, if you see something that you want deleted, added and/or changed, send an email to Randy Crocker (randall@crocker.cc) with the necessary changes and he will quickly edit the blog.

BECOME AN EDITOR

If you are interested in becoming more involved in posting, editing and formatting within this blog, Randy Crocker will setup your access and train you to work inside WordPress.
