Christmas greetings to all
Dear Kin, How grateful I am for the prayers and positive thoughts that have come my way. I do feel that support and the strength of the love that comes. We have had many blessings and miracles and also many challenges and loss.
My treatments are finished – chemo and radiation. I feel ‘normal’! This week I am having eye surgery to dispose of the cataracts -insert a lens that should solve the astigmatism and poor vision. It would be an amazing experience not to have to wear glasses to see! I have long since paid all of my out of pocket, so it seemed a good idea to get this done. Let see, hmm, what else can I hurry and line up…..
Have a very Merry Christmas and a healthy and happy new year. I hope you are well. I like these thoughts from President Howard W. Hunter to consider for the new year:
This Christmas, mend a quarrel. Seek out a forgotten friend. Dismiss suspicion and replace it with trust. Write a letter. Give a soft answer. Encourage youth. Manifest your loyalty in word and deed. Keep a promise. Forgo a grudge. Forgive an enemy. Apologize. Try to understand. Examine your demands on others. Think first of someone else. Be kind. Be gentle. Laugh a little more. Express your gratitude. Welcome a stranger. Gladden the heart of a child. Take pleasure in the beauty and wonder of the earth. Speak your love and then speak it again.
FROM MY FAMILY TO YOURS – MERRY CHRISTMAS!!! Love, Mary Ellen
Congratulations, Mary Ellen, on achieving normal! I’m still working toward that lofty goal…
